Alone Time

Miles and I have been doing a little preschool co-op dealy for a little while and Miles loves it. A few weeks ago, I couldn't wait to get that preschool hour to myself. We were right in the middle of that one time Miles was like glue. So I treated myself to my favorite personal activity: click click click. Ahhh.

I'm really going to miss Como. It's been so awesome being so close to a free zoo and conservatory. The last time we went I wanted to take pictures of this lovely lady, so I finally got to do that. It was some niiiice time alone.

I spy something red.

I like the penny above home girl's heal.

Reach!

Here's to preschool and the occasional blessed alone time!

Skillz & A Biff

Dave has seriously mad skillz on the etch a sketch. Behold Alaska:
Seriously?!

Miles will ask Dave to draw the darndest stuff and Dave always pulls through. One Sunday at church Miles asked Dave to draw a farm. Did he? Did he ever! Complete with a barn, corn, a farmer, a cow and a chicken! Dude, you should have seen it. It was insane. All I'm sayin' is that Dave should have told me about his extreme etch a sketch skillz (which have been secret until now) when trying to woo me because I would have been instantly sold. Not that I ever wasn't, but you know... etch a sketch skillz are very desirable.

Also, Miles ate it on the asphalt tonight. So soon? I'm not exactly sure why the kid can't walk... Anyway, this one is worse than the last for sure. He had a mouthful of whatever dirty, yucky asphalt and dirt was in our parking lot and was bleeding pretty good. He tore his little connecty thingy up under his lip a bit and has a little tiny black piece of something on the surface of one of his front teeth that won't come off. And told me they hurt when I brushed them tonight. Hopefully there's nothing wrong there.

Dang. Poor Miles. Little athletic Miles.

Model Miles

Dave told me my blog isn't as witty as it used to be and this post is no exception. So get ready to be bored. However, I've had these pictures uploaded for days and days and I'm sick of them sitting there. There's really nothing to them, but I started the post and it must be finished.

Miles totally digs having his picture taken. He's either used to it and thinks it's normal to have your picture taken all the time or he's just Mr. Vain-pants. If I get my camera out he usually asks me to take his picture and wants me to keep taking and keep taking. This was one of those instances...

He had underwear (his favorite outfit) on... just so you know.

While we are on the never ending topic of Miles (hello, that's my life), here are some facts about Miles right now:

-He hates tags. It's so weird. He won't touch them and always acts like he has a spider crawling on him if a tag is touching him. And I've obviously indoctrinated him because he says, "I'm weird of tags."

-He's still way into music. His latest love is the Les Miserables soundtrack and no day in the life of Miles is complete without listening to it. He really listens to the words and is constantly asking me what they are singing about. So far he's learned about all sorts of things... freedom, "Cosette's Mommy," the "older man" (Jean val Jean), and Javier the "police man." I just lie to him about Javier's suicide. Sue me. He also gets pretty annoyed at me when I turn it down for the swear words.

-Last night I asked him, "What's your favorite thing about mom?" He said "Helping her." True dat. I'm surprised the kid let's me wipe my own bum. It's great and annoying all at the same time.

-When he's describing a lot of something he says there is "a hundred a hundred a hundred a hundred a hundred" of them.

Coordination

Miles. Sweet little play-it-safe Miles. The kid is no risk taker, and that's an understatement. I sent him out to walk to our car while I locked up, heard some screaming and looked out to see Miles lying flat on his face on the side walk. We've since talked about how when you trip and fall, you want to catch yourself with your hands. NOT your face.
