I got to shoot another birth last month. My third rodeo. I'm telling you, it is the coolest thing in the world! I really, really, REALLY enjoy doing it. I'm especially proud of the job I did with this one, and just wanted to share, but not enough to spend the time and effort putting a whole post up. If you want to share in my moment of pride, click here.

30
Dave turned 30 last month! Slowly but surely, we are getting older. We are so different, yet so much the same, from the kids we were when we got married at 19 and 21. Holy Moly.
Dave's birthday was on a Wednesday this year so he got to work on his birthday! YES! We did our best to celebrate, though.
Miles started Dave's birthday morning out right by waking up at like 5:30. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Dave worked all day and then we went out to dinner at what I am convinced is likely Houston's best restaurant (that's saying something), Hugo's. So yummy. Then we came home and Dave opened presents and we had chocolate pie. Not the most glamorous of birthdays, but we sure do love Dave.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is my hard working, exhausted man.
Dave was too scantily clad to take pictures of him blowing out his candles, so he took pictures of us:
Happy Birthday to Dave. Here's to a new decade!
P.S. If you are into cameras, I'd like to note that we got a little point and shoot-- the Canon EOS M. All the pictures in this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, and this post (and more headed your way) were taken with the point and shoot. It's a sweet little camera and I'd totally recommend it.

The Temple
The DAM FAM had a goal recently: attend the temple once per month for a year. We did it! A couple times that meant taking Miles to the temple with us and taking turns watching him. These pictures are from one of those times. And tell you what, as not ideal as it was to not be able to nail down some babysitting and have to take Miles with us, I'm glad we've taken him and that he knows that his mom and dad go to the temple. In fact, on September 1st he asked me, "Did you go to the temple last monff? In August?" I love that he is aware enough to check up on us and to know that it was a new month. What a kid.
We had a good 'ol time walking around the grounds and finding pretty things

Some Proof of Life
All these pictures are from September, but they prove we didn't die after Miles started school. It's all random, but it's life.
Getting smoothies on Labor Day. Exciting:
Thumbs up for Pomegranate. He's my boy.
This is completely irrelevant and worthless information but it reminds me of my life right now. About an hour of my day is spent stationary, parked in our car. I take my journal and scriptures so I have something to do other than fry. Rather, something to do while I fry. Come on, cooler weather! GET HERE.
But apparently, I'm still super happy.
Miles in the tub:
He put those bubbles on his nose.
One day we had to leave in a hurry to go get Dave from work and since Miles strips the second he gets in the door from school, I just told him to get in the car in his underwear. We would only be in the car anyway. Dave wound up needing to make a quick store run so Miles and I hung out in the parking lot, but only one of us was wearing nothing but undies.
And this, ladies and gents, is from a blustery, rainy 81 degree day in Houston:
I actually had my heater up to 79. Acclimation in its truest form!
Until next time.
