Spring Break 2016: Park & Scootering (March 2016)

We went to Escondido for Spring Break in 2016.  Here we are at a park, scootering it up!

Thats a lot of lanes.  The bad news is, the traffic in Houston is so bad that they all get filled up and jammed!

My dad was working on some project and needed a picture of Dave as a missionary.  Is he not the cutest missionary you've ever seen?!

Doing some cleaning in our gross townhouse.  Probably the first time that vent had been cleaned since it was installed in 1983.

Swim Meet (February 2016)

This swim meet was one for the books because I'm pretty sure it was Miles' first time winning a race. A 50 yard breaststroke, I think.  I remember thinking, "No way, he's going to do it!"  

All dressed and ready to go!  And so muscular!  Haha, I love it.

It's true: our family can buy a fresh baked pizza from Costco and eat just about the whole thing!  Piggies!  Also, I do miss how not busy that Houston Costco was-- look at all those empty tables!  Our Costco here is bananas.  But I'm so glad we got to move to a place that has one!

Avs Game (January 2016)

The last Avs game we ever went to in Dallas.  Didn't know it would be our last at the time!

In n Out was always a must.  Now it's down the street here in Vegas!

Pretty darn cool: Beauchemin threw this puck over the glass right to Miles.  He made eye contact with me, pointed to Miles and tossed the puck.  It was awesome.  Especially because it was a special made puck with the details of the game on it!  Glad I caught it!

Christmas Eve + Day 2015

A very Merry Christmas indeed.  Miles had been asking so many questions about the reality of Santa that year and really voicing his logical doubts... he'd say, "Flying riendeer?" and "Just tell me the truth: is Santa real?"  I just avoided it in one way or another trying to hold out for one more year of magic.  Then we came clean to him after Santa came and delivered gifts and goodies one last time.  He totally took it in stride.  There was no way he was going to last much longer.  Sad.  But life goes on and Christmas is still merry and bright.
