Random. Life. April 2016.

Treats at DQ after youth temple trip.

Excellent art work by Miles.  I do believe this is someone singing.  There's a microphone and everything.  Miles is really good at math.  :)

Such a great parking job, it earned itself some documentation.  Amazing.

Just chillin' at Costco.

A different office for Dave at work.

Dave counting down the seconds to when we could leave.  It must have been around this time that he switched roles/jobs at St. Luke's... man, that place was miserable!

Tax day flood.  See the signal lights?

Also the tax day flood.  The Texas Medical Center is NEVER that empty on a weekday.  Not ever.

Who were we that day?

Post field day at school-- 2nd grade.  Pretty sure they put stripes under their eyes like sports players, then ran around in heat and got all sweaty and smeared it all over their faces.  At least that's what Miles did.

Nothing you can't wash off!

BYU Women's Conference (April 2016)

We had a pretty big gathering of women in my family at BYU Women's Conference.  My mom and sisters, two of my sisters in law, my Aunt and her daughter and daughters in law, my other Aunt and my bestie cousin Emily... good times.

The women in my family all went to the Provo City Center temple.  It was beautiful.

So lovely.

Having a gas of a time together:

My said bestie cousin Emily.

Good time had by one and all.  Would I do it again for a "girls' trip/reunion"?  Probably not, but still glad we went and got to be together.

Coming from Houston, I was completely enamoured by the mountains and beauty of BYUs campus:

I couldn't get enough!

One last view of mountains... until we meet again.  (So, so, so, so, SO thankful to have mountains in my life again!)

Astros Game (April 2016)

Ah, the Astros.  Such a bright spot in our dark life in Houston!

Before the game:

After the game.  GO ASTROS!

Swim Meet (April 2016)

Another day, another meet.
The ever positive thumbs down.

Backstroke.

Look at that little Houstonian all shivery...  brr.  Way to go, Miles!

Random. Life. In Houston. (March 2016)

Sexy.

Pretty sure this is the first time Miles tried a Taco Bell taco.  For the longest time, it was so hard to go anywhere fast food with Miles.  He wouldn't eat chicken nuggets, hamburgers, tacos, etc.  In n out is the first burger I ever got him to try and of course he loves it.  He has even embraced Chick fil A chicken nuggets in his old age!  And, as pictured above: tacos.

This picture for sure had to go on here because you can see that homeless man in the back.  He was a staple at this Taco Bell in Houston.  His hair was nuts and he wore slippers.

Kite day at school.

Miles eats a Costco hot dog:

Again, all I see when I look at these photos is all the empty tables (and my cute son).  That Costco was the best.

One of our daily instant photos.  This, ladies and gentlemen, is Elana Carpenter, a previous YW president of the Hermann Park ward in Houston, TX.  I took this picture because it was very indicitave of that day.  I had taught a little painting workshop to some YW and then gave my painting to her.  She thought my camera was digital, made a funny pose and/or face thinking I could just retake... I died laughing when she realized that was it!  Good times.

Random. Life. Spring Break in Escondido. (March 2016)

Just playing the piano with a bike helmet on.

Just playing the piano with cousins Johnny and Rachel and a bike helmet on.

Hand and foot with Grandma Donna.  She's the best.

My Dad, catching a snooze.

Hiking Potato Chip.
