30

Dave turned 30 last month!  Slowly but surely, we are getting older.  We are so different, yet so much the same, from the kids we were when we got married at 19 and 21.  Holy Moly.

Dave's birthday was on a Wednesday this year so he got to work on his birthday!  YES!  We did our best to celebrate, though.

Miles started Dave's birthday morning out right by waking up at like 5:30.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  Dave worked all day and then we went out to dinner at what I am convinced is likely Houston's best restaurant (that's saying something), Hugo's.  So yummy.  Then we came home and Dave opened presents and we had chocolate pie.  Not the most glamorous of birthdays, but we sure do love Dave.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is my hard working, exhausted man.

Dave was too scantily clad to take pictures of him blowing out his candles, so he took pictures of us:

Happy Birthday to Dave.  Here's to a new decade!

P.S. If you are into cameras, I'd like to note that we got a little point and shoot-- the Canon EOS M.  All the pictures in this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, and this post (and more headed your way) were taken with the point and shoot.  It's a sweet little camera and I'd totally recommend it.
