That spells hot. This picture was actually taken in May before we left for the summer, but it's basically a year round theme. The thing on Dave's face is our little temperature thingy and it does indeed say 81 degrees. I've been dreading the day they turn on the heat at our place. We can't control it and it just roasts in here. It's been so nice, on the not warm days, when it's been a little cool in here. Like you can wear sweats if you want!

Yesterday was the day. The heat is on. It's going to be getting cold, colder and coldest outside, and hot, hotter and hottest inside. I love sweating.

We seriously ate at Chipotle like 2 times a week while we were in Salem. Miles felt like it was his second home. Here he is digging some Will Smith:

Poke Mine Eye

I wrote a little story a while back about how Miles pokes his eye. We have all sorts of videos from the summer months that we were never able to upload due to infuriatingly slow internet at the time. There may be several blasts from the past: video editions in the coming posts. Anyway, here is a video of Miles in the hotel in Seattle, loving on his blanket the way he does, sucking on his tongue the way he does, and poking his eye the way he does. It's so Miles.

North Shore

The day before Dave's birthday, we went up to the North Shore here in MN. We heard it's definitely something we should see while we lived here. We were definitely hoping for a lot more fall colors, but it was still fun to get out and see something new.

The only time we took some pictures was at a lighthouse and a waterfall.

This lighthouse-- the split rock lighthouse-- is on Lake Superior. It's pretty, but you have to pay like 8 bucks a pop to get in! We didn't pay. Shocker.

There were lots of aspen trees around. I love aspens-- there are way too many pictures of them in this post.
