So far, we don't miss Texas. It's a wee bit more gorgeous in this part of the country. These pictures are from our walk/hike up to the "bench" by my parents' house. Pretty, ain't it?

Halloweenie
I know Halloween was days ago, but I'm just getting around to getting some pictures on here. Miles was a hot dog, hence "Halloweenie." Ha. Ha. Ha.
Here he is with his "Indiana Jones" father:

If you can't tell that Dave and I were last-minute-throw-it-together "costumes," it gets better. See me here, attempting to be "ketchup" to go with my little hot dog, but I may have looked more like "little red riding-hood." Or a girl in red. I'll let you decide.
And here we are together with our smashing costumes. Miles is by far the best with his face smashed. Doesn't he look so uncomfortable?
Since my costume, or lack there of, was so lame, my sister in law made me into a witch so I could pass out candy at her house. It was loads of fun. LOADS.
And here are the Pimp Daddy and Pimp Mama:
My brothers and their wives and kids were totally decked out... I'm glad someone likes Halloween.

John- I'm glad you had the guts to show all of Coeur d'Alene your beautiful hairy chest and hard nipples.
In other news... actually, there is no other news. No funny stories, nothing exciting. Sorry. Here are some more pictures of the little guy.

Boobies
Well, it's been a while, and everything has changed. Here are some pictures.
See below, we are definitely not in Texas anymore. This is our new scenery:

And our new roommate:
And our other new roommate:

That's right folks... embarrassing though it may be, we are living with my parents in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Turns out Texas was too expensive and the paycheck too small. Dave has decided to go to law school next fall, so he is looking for a job now, and we plan to save as much money as possible until he starts law school. Thanks, mom and dad for bailing us out.
In other news, Miles is just as cute as ever. Please appreciate his boobies.

The little munchkin has started sucking his thumb. It's darn cute, and I'm sure Miles will love braces later.

We have a good video of him laughing but the internet isn't quick enough to upload it right now. Maybe in a week or two.

Be Prepared
Well, it was Dave's 25th birthday on September 25th. We had quite the party! He got super surprised with tickets to a Dallas Stars hockey game. Lucky for us, they were playing our team, the Colorado Avalanche. If you don't know Dave and I too well, you don't understand that we love hockey and the Avs and it was his best birthday ever. We were so excited to go to the game! Dave called in sick to work and we went to downtown Dallas to eat one of Dave's favorite foods: a gigantic hamburger. The joint we went to is called the Twisted Root and it was really yummy. They make everything from scratch there-- mustard, ketchup, BBQ sauce, ice cream & root beer! Now that was a deliciously overpriced root beer float! Anyhow, here are a couple pictures from the ristorante:

It was a great day-- the Avs won, Miles had a nice blowout at a visitors center and got to show all the nice old ladys all this goods, and we ate good food. What more could a birthday boy ask for? Here is Miles at said visitors center showing some goods, but not all. Sorry.

Now, as I was saying: Be Prepared. Turns out I love hockey. Love hockey as in, I watch all the games, I have a boyfriend on the team... I love hockey. So, I was just as excited as Dave to go to the game. Well, I must have forgotten for a brief moment that I am now a mother. I spent about half the game walking around with Miles and the WHOLE game fretting that he was going to go deaf because of the noise! I gave my arms a good work out by trying to cover his ears any time there was something super loud. Come to find out, it was all in vain. I talked to some drunk pediatric nurse one of the times I was walking around and she told me that Miles would be fine, would not lose his hearing and to go enjoy the game. Go figure.
So, to all those not-yet-mothers out there, again, be prepared. You have NO idea how drastically your life is going to change. Good luck to you all.
Here are some more pictures and a video. Enjoy!

Bowling Ball
Here are a couple more recent pictures of Miles. He's beginning to be one fat piece of meat!
