CO-- Breckenridge 2014

We headed up to Breckenridge again this year for the Lawson family reunion and the 4th of July.  It was a short trip this time, but a great time.  It was incredibly nice to be around nature again!

Don't see many stars in Houston... not even when you go gazing.

Eating cookies, yum yum.

Going around Breckenridge:

Miles biffed it on the hike back to the cabin.  I've talked about his pain aversion before.... it's unreal.

Caught a random glimpse of this and though it was funny:
The age of technology.

The parade:

We were a bit late to it, but Miles went up to the front and patiently waited for some candy to come his way.  He even tried to entice the people in the parade to toss some to him by raising his hand in the air.  He didn't get a single piece.

Here's how he felt about that and the parade in general:

Watering the plants/male bonding.

This is the kind of thing you just can't get in Houston.  Anywhere.

Playing in the street.  This year we had marshmallow shooting guns.  Twas a blast:

Not a bad backdrop for some afternoon play.

Wiffle ball, as always:

Check out Miles' Hercules strength on this next pitch:

Boom!  Busted that ball.  Showed it who is boss.

One happy kid.

All the females.

Myself, looking super cute.

All the families except Meg's (don't know what happened there):

Thanks Mom and Pops!  Sure was a great trip!
